AGORAPHOBIA AND YOUR AGE!

Agoraphobia has no respect as to age. It can happen to a baby or to a forty old person. Yes I said happen, because you never know when it is going to strike. In a way it's like cancer or any other medical disability that overtakes people, like MS. Also like MS it runs in families. It is not a mental disorder even though mental disorders can occur because of it. This disorder seems to hit women more than men and it seems to hit in the middle to late twenties. Unlike Cancer Agoraphobia won't kill you but it will wreck your life anyway.
I bet each and every one of you who have this can remember when it first started. I certainly remember when mine started. I remember the time the place and the date. The thing with me is I like to solve mysteries and Agoraphobia was certainly a mystery but if you persist and look at things logically you will find the answer. Most Agoraphobics look at their plight as something that is happening to them and there is nothing they can do so they just give up. Others accept it and try and either self medicate with drugs and alcohol and pills and accept a ok kind of life and just try and hang on and get through. I encourage you to become a mystery detective and find your answer. I promise you it is out there. In fact it is in this blog that you are reading. The only thing you have to do is study the posts here and back it all up with a google search. You would think you could just do that for your own peace and happiness wouldn't you? I have faith in you do it! If you need any help hollar I will be happy to help.
Love you all, Yolanda

  1. Hi Yolanda. Dr. Debby gave me a copy of your book and I enjoyed reading it. I hope you are doing well. Please follow my blog prismdoc.blogspot.com. I am opening a practice in New York to continue Dr. Debby's work.
    All the best. Dr. Cheryl

  2. Hi Dr. Cheryl, I am glad you liked my book. I wish more people did. It is very hard trying to convince Agoraphobics how easy it is to be well. I don't know how much you know about Agoraphobia but they are pretty much done with living in the outside world and they certainly can't fly in an airplane. I just got back from my fifth trip to California in an airplane. This would never have happened before the prism glasses. I can't tell you how thrilled and happy I am that you will be doing Dr. Debbie's work. We need eye doctors that know how to test for this and we need an awareness of what this eye problem can cause. The poor agoraphobic can't speak for themselves. I try and keep my blog up to date but it is really slow going. There are also the accident victims and soldiers fighting the same thing. If there is any way that I can help you please don't hesitate to email me or call. Ask Dr. Debbie for my email and phone number.

All the best to you too, thanks for the comment
