It should not be this way. But people including the medical profession don't understand Agoraphobia or acute anxiety. If it can't be X-Rayed or ran under a machine or looked at under a microscope then it's all in your head and if it's in your head then you are fine and just need a adjustment in your thinking.
If only people could see into the Agoraphobic mind and heart. We live in constant pain and fear. Shame because we believe what people tell us, especially if its a doctor, their God aren't they? The shame reduced you to a whimpering blog of nothingness.
Day in and day out the agoraphobic has to fight the feeling of being a worthless human being. A once vibrant and fun loving person has hit the dust Never to be seen again. It takes a strong person to hang on. Having Agoraphobia is like being in a war zone. There is little relief from the onslaught we face every day. We grab whatever we can find wherever we can find it. We are great people, society is worse off because were not in it.
Today in our fast moving world everything is complicated and big. We have professionals to address the problems we encounter in every aspect of our live. We have finance people, we have real estate people, we have people to take care of our car. The list list goes on.
But where is the relief for the Agoraphobia sufferer, the panic attack sufferer, the traumatic brain sufferer?
NO WHERE! Because there is nothing wrong with us. The experts have told us so. They say we need to stop doing this to ourselves. So were shoved under the rug and ignored like the vagrant on the street. If you think I am being to dramatic about this I'm not, just ask any Agoraphobic.
Thank God the answer for the Agoraphobic is SIMPLE. Go to www.vsofm.com your answer is there.
Love to you all, Yolanda
